Licensed Mental Health Clinician

 

Center for Active Minds is looking to hire a W2 employee who is a Licensed Mental Health Professional (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor,  Licensed Social Worker, Psychologist) with at least two years experience working in an outpatient mental health setting. We promote providing specialty services to the community, and would love to consider hiring a therapist with expertise in one or two areas, including: couples’ therapy, family therapy, co-parenting concerns, Autism, or other related areas of interest. We are currently operating a waitlist for services focused on ADHD and/or anxiety in children, and a therapist who specializes in this area may also be a good fit. Our core goal as a company is to provide transparent, specialized, evidence-based therapy to youth clients and their parents in a way that facilitates collaboration and growth within families.

**Comprehensive on-boarding process with expertise in evidence-based services for adults and children with anxiety/ADHD
**Averaging 17 contacts a month from new prospective clients for clients with presenting concerns around behavior issues, school refusal, anxiety, private pay referrals
**Referrals from pediatricians and schools in the community
**Continued training and collaboration in use of CBT, Behavior Therapy, with techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DBT, Mindfulness, interpersonal psychotherapy, motivational interviewing,
**In-house support: billing, intakes, and scheduling for new clients, marketing, malpractice insurance, credentialing not needed as this is private pay private practice
**Consultation and training, especially in evidence-based treatment for adults and kids with ADHD and/or anxiety
**Autonomy over your schedule as you wish provided you meet minimum client hour expectations and are able to work a minimum of 8 evening (5pm or later) or weekend hours (because we work with children and their families).

 

Qualifications:

​

**Current unrestricted license to practice in Pennsylvania (LPC, LMFT, LSW, LCSW, PsyD, PhD)

​

**Two years experience in health care settings or behavioral health field

​

**Graduate degree from accredited college or university in psychology, social work, or other related field


**Successfully pass / obtain Childline, State Police, Mandated Reporting Certificate, & FBI Clearances


**Experience working with both children / teens and parents of children / teens in a therapy setting

​

**Experience researching and utilizing evidence-based treatment models


**Knowledge about implementing Behavior Therapy and/or CBT


**Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail, structure, and follow through

​

**Effective and collaborative problem solving skills


**Proficiency in technology with the ability to adapt to new software systems (e.g, EHR and work management platforms)


**Experience in maintaining timely and accurate documentation

​

**Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards

​

**Awareness and compliance with the ethical guidelines specific to your licensing organization

​

**Works collaboratively with clients and is committed to professionalism and client-focused care

​

Additional Desirable Qualifications:


**A background in child development, child and adolescent therapy techniques, and psychological evaluation, OR family systems theory, OR Gottman method


**Training and experience specific to working with children and adolescents


**Previous experience in a private practice setting. This position is also good for professionals who are looking to leave large service agencies or institutions


**Training specific to ADHD and/or anxiety is a plus but not required

Roles & Responsibilities: 

 

**Be fully licensed to provide psychological services in Pennsylvania & maintain professional licensure status, and maintain code of ethics 

​

**Implement evidence-based, on-site psychological services to children and families

​

**Communicate effectively & timely with in house employees and coordination of care providers (teachers, PCPs)

​

**Complete accurate, effective, timely documentation

 

**Adapt to using technology effectively (electronic health records; productivity apps)

​

**Attend CFAM staff meetings

​

**Effectively problem solve solutions to potential concerns or issues with parents, clients, in house employees, and outside providers (teachers, PCPs)

​

Compensation:  Pay: $62,000-125,000 minimum a year.  Therapists are paid 50% of the the their session rate for each paid session, with the minimum weekly pay being $700. Fee-for-services typically ranges from $100 to $180 per session, with fee-for-service being determined by therapists' credentials and experience. Therefore, licensed professionals in our practice can earn $62,000-125,000 a year, depending on (1) their credentials & work experience, (2) number of clients seen weekly (minimum of 22 per week), and (3) numbers of weeks worked.
